Background

The Mac Create Network provides demo and hands-on classes across the country, but not everyone can attend one of our classes. So we’re introducing Aperture One-to-One Remote Training classes, available exclusively for our Please Login or Register to see the link.

Members from around the world can schedule a personalized Aperture, Lightroom, iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages or Numbers hands-on web-based class with one of our Mac Create instructors.

How Does it Work?

Thanks to web-based remote learning technology commonly called “webinars” a Mac Create instructor will create an online classroom and provide you with the information to log into that class. You’ll be able to hear the instructor and (if you’ve got a mic on your computer or access to a phone line for our dial-in audio) be able to interact with them as well. You’ll be able to ask questions, get follow up information and much more, while you watch the instructor guide you by sharing their screen with yours.

We’ll also be able to pass the controls over to you, which means that you can show us particularly thorny issues that have been bothering you, or ask questions with specific images or content.

When the class is over, you’ll get a link to the video from the class, so you can watch it again at your leisure.

What Do I Need to Make It Work

All you need is a broadband connection and a Mac. The software to run the webinar downloads automatically.

What Kind of Classes Are Available

These sessions are completely customized. Want to spend a class finding out about how to organize your projects and folders in Aperture? No problem. Want to create a movie from scratch in iMovie and export it to iTunes? Sure thing. Trying to figure the best way to create a website using iWeb? Easy as pie.

Right now we offer classes in Aperture, Lightroom, iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. We’ll be adding Garageband classes and Creative Suite classes shortly.

What Languages are Offered

Right now we offer classes in English only, but will be adding Spanish (specifically Latin American Spanish) shortly. If you’ve got a request for another language for your class, please let us know and we’ll look to find a translator. (Translation fees apply, naturally.)

When Are Classes Offered?

We’re flexible. We know our students come from around the world, so we’re able to fit classes into your schedule.

How Much Does It Cost?

Rates are $100 (total, not per hour) for two hours of individualized training on the subject of your choice. You can book sessions longer than two-hours. (You get a minimum of two hours with each booking, to provide enough time to answer most topics in-depth, you can book additional hours after that.)

Know other interested Mac users and want to share the learning with them? Simply contact us and we’ll provide you a rate for a one-to-many remote training on the subject of your choice.

What Do I Do Next?

Use the form below to contact us and request a training session or information about one.

We’ll follow up in email and ask you some questions based on the information you provide. Then we’ll schedule the online classroom and send you a link, and point you to our online payment tool. Once you’ve paid, simply show up with your questions and you’ll have your own personalized class.

When you’re done with the class, we’ll provide a video screencast of your training that you can download to review what you’ve learned.
